How Opal Mehta got…a new life?

Monday blues! Getting up early in the morning and coming back to work place, Delhi from home town. However it’s never tiring to come back to Delhi but of course the thought of getting up early in the morning and traveling especially on Monday is always a headache for me. Approximately four hours traveling! Uff! :-(

But this time I was not so tired just because on the way I had a good sleep and read an interesting book for some time. Well, after reaching ISBT Kashmiri Gate, my next step was to take a metro for office. Don’t know why I don’t feel good even with a thought of traveling by metro now-a-days. Actually I know why but tell you later may be some other day ;-) Feeling good or bad, hardly matters, finally I was in Metro. No new thing was there as such.  In other words it can be said that each and every person was new for me there in fact. Well within half-an-hour I reached CGO metro station and now I was on escalators. A good looking guy was also standing there although many people were there. But I noticed only that guy. I liked his facial expressions. I was moving on my way to office but the boy was walking slowly. I was literally looking at him by turning back again and again. And every time I turned back, I gave a smile to myself only you know why because he was damn busy in reading a book ‘How Opal Mehta Got Kissed Got Wild and Got a Life - Kaavya'.

The whole story of Opal Mehta was now on my mind once again. A story all about positive attitude and confidence! But it was good to remind it especially on Monday morning. Anyways after almost ten minutes while I was entering my office, my phone rang. I just picked up the call and  suddenly I noticed the same book named ‘How Opal Mehta…’ again in somebody’s hands who was standing right in front of me and you know what he was the same guy whom I saw in the metro station. Maybe he was waiting for somebody there. But now he was giving me an innocent smile and I was looking at him with a surprise while talking on phone with somebody.

It was strange! Stranger than Opal Mehta’s Story? Wasn’t it? No! it was not! At times it just happens! :-)

Now you’d be surprised what the big deal was in that. Actually I was enjoying seeing him because some days back I read the same book with the same excitement. Bus or Metro, wherever I found space to stand comfortably while traveling I just started reading that book. But he was one step ahead of me. He was reading while walking on the road even. That was amazing! I was wondering which page he is reading and why this particular expression was on his face etc. but yes people around us took me otherwise definitely. ;-) But who cared? I was in my own world at that time. I was feeling so proud because this was the first time when somebody was reading a book which I already read. Well, everybody has his/her own destination. So he moved on his way. And, I was on my way.
